About Land of Nature Camp in the Serengeti
Land of Nature Camp is an intimate, owner-operated safari camp set in the Central Serengeti, near the renowned Seronera Valley — the single best area for year-round wildlife viewing in the entire Serengeti ecosystem. Our camp was established with a clear purpose: to offer a genuine, unhurried Serengeti experience in a setting small enough that every guest feels like part of the family.
Our Location
The Central Serengeti is the ecological heart of the 14,750-square-kilometre Serengeti National Park. The Seronera Valley, located just minutes from our camp, is famous for supporting the highest density of leopards in Africa and some of the most reliable lion and cheetah sightings on the continent. Our position at the crossroads of the Great Migration route means that, regardless of the season, wildlife action is never far away. From the calving season on the southern plains to the great columns moving northward through our area to the river crossings in the Western Corridor, the Central Serengeti delivers twelve months of extraordinary safari.
The Camp
We operate a small number of spacious safari tents, each raised on a wooden platform and fitted with en-suite bathrooms, solar lighting, and a private veranda overlooking the surrounding bush. The communal area includes an open-air dining space, a lounge, and a campfire circle. The camp is unfenced, and wildlife moves freely through — giraffe, zebra, and occasionally elephant are regular visitors. The deliberate simplicity of our setup is the point: we remove the barriers between you and the Serengeti, not the comforts that help you enjoy it.
Our Guides
Our guiding team is the soul of Land of Nature Camp. Led by head guide Baraka, who has spent over fifteen years reading the Serengeti bush, our guides combine deep ecological knowledge with a genuine passion for sharing the wonders of this place. Many grew up in communities on the Serengeti's eastern border and learned to read animal behaviour long before they earned their professional certifications. They know where the leopards sleep, when the cheetahs hunt, and how to read the migration's movements from the behaviour of the grazers. A game drive with our guides is not just a wildlife tour — it is an education in one of the most complex and beautiful ecosystems on Earth.
Our Commitment
We are deeply committed to the health of the Serengeti ecosystem and the communities that depend on it. We employ staff from surrounding villages, source supplies locally, operate on solar power, and contribute to community education and healthcare initiatives. We believe that every guest who visits Land of Nature Camp leaves as an ambassador for Serengeti conservation.
